The Sixers have claimed the No. 1 seed in the East and have genuine title aspirations in their first campaign under Doc Rivers. Before the season, we ranked every player on Philadelphia’s roster. It seems only right to revisit that project now.

The following is a definitive ranking of all 17 players on the 2020-21 roster, determined by the average of seven different lists from site contributors — myself, Michael Rotindo, Kasey Kennedy, Taku Hagiwara, Jonathan Geib, Matt Cahlil, and Jimmy Boligitz. Also contributing to this article is Lucas Johnson.

Ranking every player on the Sixers roster — 17. Rayjon Tucker

Most famous for his pre-game dunks and garbage time exploits, Rayjon Tucker has spent his second NBA season on the periphery of Philadelphia’s roster. That said, he isn’t without hope for an NBA future. The 23-year-old faired well with the Delaware Blue Coats in the G-League, and he played 20 games for Utah as a rookie.

While Tucker’s future may lie elsewhere, his athleticism at 6-foot-3 should continue to garner intrigue around the league. Beyond the poster dunks, he has excellent defensive tools and strong instincts as a cutter. If he can even out his 3-point shot — 20.8 percent for his career — the path to playing time is there.

Tucker would likely benefit from a rebuilding situation with more room for experimentation. The Sixers have been firmly in pursuit of the No. 1 seed since the season began, which has pushed even first-round picks like Tyrese Maxey to the edge of the rotation. There simply hasn’t been much in terms of opportunity for Tucker to prove his mettle in the NBA.

He is still young and still one of the bounciest humans on the planet. If anything, he should be on a roster next season so he can participate in the dunk contest. We have seen very little of him in a Sixers uniform, but he deserves recognition as a promising young player.
