3 free agents targets on first round opponent Wizards: Robin Lopez
Robin Lopez would only be an option for the Philadelphia 76ers if they lose backup center Dwight Howard in free agency or retire (unlikely) this offseason. Unlike Len, Lopez is too good to keep on a bench as a third string center. It should be noted in Game 1, Lopez had six points and three rebounds during 11 minutes of game action.

He’s also a 7-footer and weighs about 281 lbs. He’s a great interior defender and despite having an awkward-looking hook shot, is a solid low post scorer. Which is interesting considering between he and his twin brother Brook Lopez, Robin Lopez didn’t have much of an offensive game when he first came to the NBA.
He can hit the occasional 3-pointer, which would be a plus for his potential pairing with Ben Simmons. However, he’s not a mobile defender and he’s on the wrong side of 30 years old, which impacts how well he can play beyond next season.
He’d also cost at least the mid-level exception which could be a high price for a backup center for Embiid. He’s also bound to receive interest elsewhere and other teams could outbid the Sixers in terms of money and role for the veteran center. However, attempting to sign is certainly worth a shot from Philly’s perspective.
As this first round series between the Philadelphia 76ers and Wizards continues to unfold, the front office needs to keep an eye on Len, Smith, and Lopez as potential free agent options.
