Sixers podcast: Game 2 victory | Westbrook incident | Beal trade?

On this episode of The Sixer Sense Podcast, we break down all that went well for the Sixers and wrong for the Wizards as Philadelphia is up 2-0 in the series. With our guest, fellow FanSider Ethan Smith from the Wiz of Awes, we discuss the rest of the series and the state of Washington’s franchise moving forward.

Off the bat, Lucas, Chris, and Ethan analyze the play of both teams’ stars. Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, and Tobias Harris all had solid games and led the Sixers in scoring. Bradley Beal had another stellar scoring game, but Russell Westbrook struggled to find his shot.

Although Shake Milton can’t find his groove, other players’ outstanding performances are discussed. Young Sixer players like Tyrese Maxey, Matisse Thybulle, and Furkan Korkmaz contributed to the 76ers win at the Wells Fargo Center.

The ineffectiveness of Washington’s role players is talked about as well. We look at Davis Bertans goose egg performance and the trio of centers that had no answer for Joel Embiid.

The conversation then goes into the state of the Wizard’s organization. We explain how we feel about what happened and what the NBA should do to stop such incidents from happening again.
