Sixers: 5 storylines to watch in Game 4 vs. Wizards
Sixers storylines to watch: A quick exit
The Sixers should look to jump ahead quickly in Game 4. The more rest for the starters — who have gotten plenty of rest this series — the better. If Joel Embiid and the starters can sit another fourth quarter, great. The Sixers are playing the long game now.
Philadelphia was blessed with an extremely winnable side of the bracket. Washington is far and away the weakest team in the Eastern Conference playoffs, while the Sixers’ second round opponent — probably Atlanta — pales in comparison to Milwaukee or Brooklyn, who will throw haymakers against one another in a few days time.
The Sixers should look to exercise their will on an ill-matched Washington team and lock up the sweep. The more rest between now and Atlanta, the better. The more rest between now and the conference finals, if the Sixers can execute well enough to get there, the better. There’s a very real chance that Brooklyn-Milwaukee series takes its toll on both sides.
Relative to Philadelphia, Washington is not a very good basketball team. This series will not end well for those in the nation’s capital. In fact, it may very well end in the nation’s capital tonight. That’s the ideal route.
