For the 100th episode of The Sixer Sense Podcast, we welcome Josh Wilson to talk about a variety of issues that surround the Philadelphia 76ers. Josh was once the site expert of The Sixer Sense, and it was great reuniting with him since he became the director of the NBA Division at FanSided.

We start things off with the hottest topic swirling around the Sixers’ fanbase. Ben Simmons had a dreadful playoff performance versus the Atlanta Hawks, and we decided to debate his trade value should Philly part ways. We look at what he could bring in return despite his woeful shooting and lack of aggression in the postseason.

What does the future hold for Ben Simmons and the Sixers? Will he improve his scoring versatility in Philly, or is it too late?

Next, we look at some trade packages for Simmons. Although his contract is hefty and his mental issues could lower his value, some teams in the NBA could be interested in the young All-Star. Names like CJ McCollum, Zach LaVine, and Kemba Walker are brought up in the discussion.

The podcast then dives into the lessons learned after getting eliminated by the Hawks. What was learned about this team’s roster this postseason? What can we take away from Doc Rivers’ first playoff performance on the Sixers’ bench?

The conversation then steers toward Joel Embiid’s future with the team. We ask what he would look like next to a star point guard who is more of an offensive threat. How much better would Embiid be if he had a floor general who could more easily and effectively create his own shot compared to Ben Simmons?

Lucas, Chris, and Josh then analyze the moves that Daryl Morey made last season. Were they good enough? Did he come as advertised?

Lastly, we project the overall future of Ben Simmons if he returns to the 76ers. We debate whether or not he will change as a result of the immense criticism Simmons has received since his putrid play against the Hawks. Is this the turning point and breaking point for him to finally develop a more versatile offensive game? Will he begin shooting more next season?
