5. Trae Young
Before the playoffs, Trae Young wasn’t in the top five, but that was before he’s been one of the most clutch performers in the offseason. He’s lead this young Atlanta Hawks team to the Eastern Conference finals. He has Steve Nash’s passing skills and Stephen Curry shooting skills. That being said, the one-time All-Star is still a liability on defense.

4. Donovan Mitchell
It’s a shame that Donovan Mitchell doesn’t have an offensive co-star on the Utah Jazz. He’s a physical shooting guard who can create his own offense. The two-time All-Star can carry a team by himself on offense and can win big games.
3. Devin Booker
Two-time All-Star Devin Booker is one game away from leading the Phoenix Suns the NBA. He’s been dubbed the next coming of Kobe Bryant by Stephen A. Smith of ESPN. He can score from anywhere on the court, he’s clutch, and can create for others. His only weakness is on defense, but that can get better over time as well.
2. Jayson Tatum
When Jayson Tatum‘s career is all said and done, he could be a top-five Celtic of all-time. He’s a two-way player who can carry a team by himself and was spectacular in his past playoff performances. He has two All-Star appearances and one All-NBA appearance, while arguably a top-10 player in the whole NBA already and he still has room to grow.
1. Luka Doncic
At the end of the day, Luka Doncic is the most complete players under 25 years old. He was in the MVP conversation to begin this season. He already has two All-Star and two All-NBA apperances in his young career. He could easily be a top-5 player in the NBA next year, but he has to put in the work on defense and the Dallas Mavericks need to get him a legit co-star as well.
Simmons is still a top young player despite his poor postseason run with the Philadelphia 76ers, but he has to improve to stay in that category.
