Sixers: 5 teams Ben Simmons should want to be traded to
5 teams Simmons should want to be traded to: Los Angeles Lakers
Simmons has always been connected to Los Angeles in the offseason, so having the Los Angeles Lakers on his list would make sense. He would become a part of a big three with LeBron James and Anthony Davis. That being written, his fit with those two isn’t a natural one with his unwillingness to shoot and making a trade work was beyond difficult.
Several notes from this hypothetical trade. Fanspo.com gave Kyle Lowry a projected salary of $39.3 million per year and Dennis Schroder had one of $24.0 million per year. Montrezl Harrell would also have to opt into his contract as well for this to work.

That being written, the Sixers get Lowry and Harrell. Lowery is an elite point guard and could have been an All-Star this year if the Toronto Raptors had a winning record. Harrell is one season removed from winning the Sixth Man of the Year award. He’d be a great backup for Embiid as well.
The Raptors get two solid role players in Schroder and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope for a guy in Lowrey who could leave for nothing. They could flip one or both of those players for other players or picks later on.
The Lakers get Simmons and who knows, with LeBron as a teammate maybe he can give Simmons to confidence to finally start shooting. If that becomes the case, then this will be a steal for L.A. However, that seems unlikely to happen at this point. This isn’t a great trade, but it’s a do-able trade if Simmons tries to force his way to the Lakers.
If Simmons decides to make a list of teams that he would prefer to go to, these teams should be on the list he gives to the Philadelphia 76ers.
