2021 NBA Mock Draft — 18. Isaiah Jackson, Golden State Warriors

The Warriors get a bargain-bin replacement for James Wiseman, investing in Isaiah Jackson, who inhabits a similar archetype. Jackson is a long, explosive 6-foot-10 center who can run and jump with the best of them. His ability to finish above the rim would fit nicely with a core of elite shooters and visionary playmakers.

Jackson would have the absolute best personnel around him, with very little pressure for immediate success or high-volume creativity. He would fill a small role on a team built to contend and with a great track record of player development — not to mention a tremendous mentor on the defensive end in Draymond Green.

He is still rough around the edges, but Jackson has physical gifts in spades. Evan Mobley holds the distinct title of this year’s most promising big, but Jackson has the upside to carry the second-place mantle if the chips fall into place. I can scarce think of a better team for them to fall into place than Golden State.
