3 potential Harris trades: Dallas Mavericks and Oklahoma City Thunder

The other three-team trade involves the Dallas Mavericks and the Oklahoma City Thunder. There’s some risk in this proposed deal below for the Philadelphia 76ers, but if health holds up, then this is a really good deal for the Sixers.

The 76ers could be in big trouble if Kemba Walker and Dwight Powell can’t regain their former selves. However, assuming both players take the full offseason to recover and this fake trade goes through, then this could give Philly an All-Star level point guard and a quality backup center behind Embiid. They also get the 18th pick in this draft from the Thunder via the Miami Heat just in case one or both player’s health doesn’t turn around.

The Mavericks get Harris who can be a nice scoring threat next to the Luka Doncic and they also get another 3-and-D combo guard in George Hill as well. Based on how Kristaps Porzingis played this past postseason, the argument could be made that Harris played better in the playoffs than the former All-Star. There’s also another important part of this trade, Harris and his best friend Boban Marjonovic will get to be reunited if the center re-signs with the Mavs this summer.

That being written, Porzingis would make a nice co-star with Shai Gilgious-Alexander where Porzingis could have a bigger role and in the first time in a while, the Thunder would be trading away a pick. However, considering that it’s only the 18th, they would be getting a steal for a player young enough to be part of their future it’s worth the cost.
