Kyle Lowry should be the Sixers’ main choice

So the question then becomes, between Walker and Lowry, who would you rather have added to this team? Both of these players are good shooters, playmakers, and have shown that when the light shines bright, they can knock down a clutch shot or two.

After thinking about this long and hard, for me the answer is Kyle Lowry. Ignoring his age at 35 years old and the potential price tag, Lowry is a six-time All-Star who averaged 17.2 points and 7.3 assists on 39.6 percent 3-point shooting last season. He would bring his crafty defense, playmaking and scoring to the mix.

As a former 2019 Champion with the Toronto Raptors, Lowry would be able to provide championship experience as a starter, along with leadership and maturity that the Sixers have desperately needed, especially in closing-game situations. Having been tied to the Sixers since the trade deadline and potentially still a target going into free agency, a report from Sam Amick and John Hollinger at The Athletic ($)  ties him once more to the Sixers.
