Sixers rumors: Latest on the Ben Simmons trade saga

Sixers’ potential Ben Simmons trade partner: Portland Trail Blazers

Now we get the the Portland Trail Blazers. I know everyone is expecting a Damian Lillard trade, and it’s not completely out of the question, but he did go on air and say he expects to be in a Blazers uniform next season. But, that’s not all bad for Sixers fans. If they decide to trade anybody, it will most likely be CJ McCollum, who would fit brilliantly in the Sixers’ system — a shot creator who can shoot off the dribble, off the screen, and off the catch. What more can you ask for?

Maybe the Sixers can even get Robert Convington, too. This trade works for the Trail Blazers, because their worst attribute as a team was defense and that’s definitely one thing Simmons knows how to do. Imagine if the Sixers traded for McCollum and brought it Kyle Lowry. That team, in my opinion, would be considered contenders for sure.

Lowry, McCollum, Harris, Embiid and Curry as your offensive weapons, with Tyrese Maxey blossoming before our very eyes, as well as Matisse Thybulle. The Sixers would have to adjust their line up accordingly, but once everything is figured out, this team could be a contender for sure.
