The Philadelphia 76ers will have to do some major roster upgrades this offseason. The bench needs to dramatically improve, especially if head coach Doc Rivers keeps his 10 man rotation moving forward.

The Sixers don’t have a big budget to spend as they are well above the salary cap so they have to go for players who will only cost them a minimum deal or those that are willing to sign for the mid-level exception. However, that’s not the only thing this article will be evaluating.

Sometimes going back to something familiar is a good thing and this article will also be looking at players that use to play for the 76ers. It includes players who didn’t even play a whole season and those who had long term stops here as well. Some of the players on this list are near the end of their careers so returning to a place that is familiar wouldn’t be a bad idea.

It should be noted that the inspiration for this article was from when I wrote about Philly reuniting with Boban Marjanovic. With that in mind, he won’t be included in this article. In that piece, I dove into detail why the reunion would make sense for both sides and I will do so in a similar fashion as well.

It should be noted T.J. McConnell won’t be in this article either as he will be getting more than the Mid-Level exception this offseason.
