3 free agent destinations for Green: Los Angeles Clippers
The last team is the Los Angeles Clippers. It’s completely possible that Green loved his time in L.A. when he won a title with LeBron and the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers appear to be focused on getting a point guard so they probably won’t focus on a guy like Green. That leaves the Clippers and could be a very good fit for both sides.

The Clippers get the original 3-and-D wing in Green and there are very few teams that wouldn’t love to have more two-way players. Adding another really good perimeter defender to their core is always good and he would help with the loss of Leonard while he recovers from ACL surgery.
For Green, he’d probably get to start next to Paul George while Leonard will likely miss most of the year while recovering. Then there’s a chance Leonard will be able to play again when the playoffs come around which would delegate Green to a bench role, but he could be the primary backup for both All-NBA level forwards, so he could still get solid minutes off the bench for a title run.
The other thing to consider for Green is that he won two out of his three NBA titles with Leonard so obviously there’s a level of chemistry between the two in the playoffs that can’t be denied. It might be a very enticing factor that Green might not ignore.
In the end, the fans should be praying for Green to return to the Philadelphia 76ers as he’s an important role player for the franchise. However, if he doesn’t re-sign, then he has his options of contenders to choose from.
