5 point guard free agent options in 2021: Avery Bradley

Technically Avery Bradley won a title with the Lakers even though he didn’t participate in the Lakers postseason run in the Bubble. However, he spent last season with both the Miami Heat and Houston Rockets, where he didn’t impress with his play.

More from The Sixer Sense

Last year, he averaged 6.4 points and 1.7 assists, while converting 37.3 percent of his field goals and 32.7 percent of attempts from deep. Granted he played much worse on the rebuilding team in the Rockets versus the Heat. Still, his poor play could help Philly land him on a minimum contract.

Bradley is technically a combo guard, but he can play a duel role with Simmons next season. He’d also reunite with Doc Rivers who he played under with both the Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Clippers.

When engaged and healthy, Bradley is a great 3-and-D combo guard who has some playmaking skills. At 30-years-old, Bradley probably only has one or two more seasons of his prime before he’s a veteran on the end of the bench so playing for a contender like the 76ers makes sense for him.

The Philadelphia 76ers won’t find a starting caliber point guard in free agency thanks to salary cap constraints, but they could certainly boost their depth.
