Potential Simmons trades with each California team: Sacramento Kings
The Sacramento Kings are the least attractive destination of the four California teams. They’ve been stuck in a perpetual rebuild since the mid-2000s and haven’t had an All-Star player since they traded away DeMarcus Cousins.
With Simmons rumor mill in full motion, there’s a chance that Sacramento could be a landing spot for him. With that in mind, below is what a potential trade between the two clubs could look like.
The Sixers get Tyrese Haliburton who is at least a very good start with some All-Star potential, they get one of the best shooters in the NBA with Buddy Hield, and they also get a solid young big man in Damian Jones.
Getting two first round picks in 2023 and 2025, while also getting two pick swaps in 2022 and 2024 isn’t bad either. The reason why De’Aaron Fox isn’t included is because I personally believe Haliburton has a higher ceiling than Fox and would be a better fit with Joel Embiid.
None of these proposed trades to California based teams are extremely appealing for the Philadelphia 76ers. However, if the Sixers wanted to work with Simmons, then this article outlined how they could do so.
