NBA 2K has already begun its release of new ratings in anticipation of the game’s upcoming 2K22 release. That includes the top 10, featuring a certain Sixers center, who will enter the new season rated 95 overall.

Beyond Embiid, we are still in the dark as far as Philadelphia’s full roster. We are here to solve that problem with some predictive work

Let us look at each Sixers player and determine the likeliest outcome for their initial 2K22 rating. Of course, this is predictive, not factual. Any and all real ratings will be released through NBA 2K. We’re just here to have some fun and complain about game logic.

Predicting Sixers NBA 2K22 ratings — Grant Riller, 69

Grant Riller, the Sixers’ new two-way contract recipient finished the season at 69. There’s no reason to expect improvement until he has consistent NBA minutes under his belt. The programmers over at 2K are unlikely to know/care much about Riller, so until there’s empirical evidence of his growth, you can almost pencil him in around this spot.

Predicting Sixers NBA 2K22 ratings — Aaron Henry, 69

Aaron Henry will begin the season on a two-way contract, same as Tucker. He’s an undrafted free agent, which generally means he will start at the very bottom of the game and work his way up.

Predicting Sixers NBA 2K22 ratings — Charles Bassey, 69

As the No. 53 pick in July’s NBA Draft, Charles Bassey is starting from scratch. He’s a talented athlete with real potential as a rim runner and shot-blocker. Heck, he has even flashed pick-and-pop jumpers in practice. Until he can earn minutes behind Embiid, Drummond, and Reed, however, it will be hard for Bassey to capture 2K’s attention.
