Predicting Sixers NBA 2K22 ratings — Andre Drummond, 80

Andre Drummond finished last season at 83, and there has been no greater source of confidence in Drummond’s skill set over the past few years than the NBA 2K programmers. He’s a big, physical center who — in the game — can dominate on both sides of the ball and absorb every rebound within arm’s reach. Naturally, he grades out well.

That said, Drummond’s new contract situation and his uneven postseason with LA could force 2K to look inward. He’s now the backup for Joel Embiid and making the veteran’s minimum. Even then, it’s not hard to imagine Drummond coming out with the fourth-highest mark on the team.

2K will not only grade Drummond highly, but will program the game to have Drummond and Embiid share the court at various stretches. For those who don’t take manual control of rotations, it could get irksome.

Despite the foolishness of 2K ratings, Drummond will have a sizable impact on the Sixers next season. He’s not far removed from an All-Star campaign, and he remains one of the league’s truly elite rebounders. When engaged and energetic, he can swing a game on both sides of the ball. He should probably be more in the 78 range, but there have been worse travesties than Drummond squeaking by in the 80s.
