Predicting Sixers NBA 2K22 ratings — Tobias Harris, 86

Last but not least, we round out the list with Tobias Harris. He will most likely earn the coveted No. 2 spot behind Embiid, even if that’s rooted almost entirely in recency bias. Harris is much better in the regular season than the postseason, and he’s still a flawed player overall, but he was spectacular last season. He was on the verge of 50/40/90, averaging 19.5 points per game and carrying the bench lineups for long stretches.

In Harris, the Sixers have a versatile offensive forward who can generate mismatches at the four spot. He’s not quite as dynamic and intriguing in the game — he’s more of a natural three with a wonky headband — but Harris’ diverse scoring repertoire will earn him good marks with the 2K programmers.

To put Harris over Simmons is irksome and inevitable, and that will likely be the strongest source of debate amongst the fanbase — even if everyone hates Ben Simmons. Harris can score, but he’s not a go-to creator, and he can’t begin to approach Ben defensively. Simmons has been a much more important offensive player for Harris’ entire stint with the team, save for a very notable second-round goose egg against the Hawks.

In time, the winds of change will blow and Simmons will regain his spot above Harris. When the season begins, however, expect the 2K gods to simple favorably on Philly’s favorite All-Star snub. Harris’ perimeter skill, size, durability, and improved defense make him a useful player, both in the game and in real life.
