It’s the offseason and there’s no major news breaking around the Philadelphia 76ers at the moment. That doesn’t mean Sixers president of basketball operation Daryl Morey isn’t putting in work this offseason.

The front office should always be looking for ways to improve the roster and with that in mind, they should have at least three players who should be on the trade block right now.

3 players who should be on the trade block: Shake Milton

After having a revelation in his second season, Shake Milton failed to follow up on that strong performance last year. Outside of a half of a game in the postseason, he didn’t make an impact during the playoffs as well. Last season, he averaged 13.0 points and 3.1 assists, while making 35.0 percent from the 3-point line.

Despite Milton being one of the reasons that made head coach Doc Rivers excited to take the 76ers job last offseason, the union between the two hasn’t worked out thus far. Rivers used Milton like other elite sixth men he’s had in the past, but Milton clearly proved he’s not going to be the same caliber of player Lou Williams and Jamal Crawford.

With Tyrese Maxey proving to be closer to that caliber of player, there’s no clear role for Milton in the rotation on this current rotation. Milton looks to be the team’s 11th or 12th man depending on how Rivers views Paul Reed.

To be clear, Philly shouldn’t be forced to trade Milton. He’s on a minimum deal for the next season and he has a team option for the 2022-23 season. He could also have a bounce-back year with his shooting and if that’s the case, then he becomes pretty valuable to Philly again.
