Sixers podcast: NBA schedule and Ben Simmons’ workout video
By Uriah Young
On this episode of the Sixer Sense Podcast, we preview the Sixers‘ schedule, discuss the latest Ben Simmons workout video, and analyze some remaining free agents still on the market.
Lucas Johnson and Christopher Kline begin with the biggest games on the Sixers’ schedule for the 2021-2022 season. Lucas shares the top three games that he anticipates most, while Christopher offers the main trio of games that he eagerly awaits. You can correctly assume the Nets and Lakers were brought up, but which other teams did they mention?
Ben Simmons keeps on shooting (on Instagram). Plus, a couple veteran free agents who could pique the Sixers’ interest.
The podcast then dives into the latest Ben Simmons drama that has the fanbase wondering what will happen next. After another video was posted of Simmons practicing with Tyrese Maxey and other NBA players, Philadelphia is probably saying to itself, “We have seen this somewhere before.” Lucas and Christopher try to peel back layers of meaning after Simmons displayed himself shooting long range 3s in a pickup game.
The conversation then goes into free agency. Who is still available as training camp approaches? They discuss players like J.J. Redick and Paul Millsap as possible additions to the Sixers’ roster.
A former Sixers center is mentioned next. The podcast analyzes the legal action against Rich Paul, where Nerlens Noel has filed a law suit that he hopes will compensate him for damages. Does he have legit case?
Before we go, we discuss the social media question of the week. We asked our social media followers what they thought about Isaiah Joe getting more minutes this season. The response was overwhelmingly positive for the second-year guard from Arkansas.
