The power forward has changed so much in the past 10 years, but that doesn’t mean that players that play the position in today’s game aren’t very good. The Philadelphia 76ers  have a very good one in Tobias Harris and when I did my power forward rankings during last season he was a top-10 talent.

Has he retained his title during this offseason entering the next season? Let’s find out just how good the Sixers starting power forward is versus his contemporaries.

30. Darius Bazley

Darius Bazley was the starter for the Oklahoma City Thunder all of last season and there’s little reason to believe otherwise. It’s unlikely that Aleksej Pokusevski will be ready to take on a starting role at this point in his career. Bazley has promise, but he needs to improve on his efficiency if he wants the job for the long term future.

29. Dorian Finney-Smith

The Dallas Mavericks have an underrated stretch four in Dorian Finney-Smith. He’s a prototypical 3-and-D forward and he’s the guy that you want defending the opposing team’s best perimeter player. He can hit 3-pointers at a pretty good rate but outside of that, he’s pretty limited on offense.

28. Marvin Bagley III

Despite being the second overall pick in 2018, Marvin Bagley III has failed to live up to that billing. If he’d embrace playing a center he’d probably be better but at this point, he’s not a good defender and has grown as an offensive player. Honestly, the Sacramento Kings need to trade him so he has a fresh start somewhere else.

27. Jaden McDaniels

As a rookie, Jaden McDaniels shows a lot of promise on the defensive end. If the Minnesota Timberwolves want to be successful then McDaniels will have to play a big role on the defensive side of the ball for the team. It also helps that he can finish around the rim and stretch the floor too.

26. Royce O’Neale

Royce O’Neale is another 3-and-D forward on this list however, he’s more of a power forward in title only but not in responsibility for the Utah Jazz. At 6-foot-4 he’s easily the shorter power forward on this list and usually spends most of his time guarding the opposing team’s best offensive player.
