5. Jayson Tatum
The only reason why Jayson Tatum isn’t number four on this list is that I believe Tatum is best served as a small forward position. That being written, Tatum is a superstar in the making and without question the best player on the Boston Celtics. If he improves his playmaking, he can be one of the most dangerous players in the NBA.
4. Zion Williamson

In terms of brut strength, there are very few players, if any, that can match Zion Williamson in that category. He’s unstoppable on offense despite being undersized for the position. The New Orleans Pelicans need Williamson to continue to improve on the defensive end if they want a chance to get to the playoffs next season.
3. Anthony Davis
There’s a real chance that Anthony Davis might end up starting at the center position this year for the Los Angeles Lakers. However, based on his unwillingness to play the five in the past, I have him slotted as the Lakers’ power forward for now. Davis is a complete two-way player, the only issue is if he can stay healthy for a full season.
2. Giannis Antetokounmpo
It’s crazy to have a two-time MVP, a Defensive Player of the Year, and the current NBA Finals MVP second on this list, but don’t take that as a slight against him Milwaukee Bucks fans. If Giannis Antetokounmpo can consistantly hit free throw shots, then he’ll become unguardable. Until then, his perimeter shooting will be a way to slow him down, but outside of that, he’s pretty hard to contain on either side of the floor.
1. Kevin Durant
It can be argued that Kevin Durant has taken over the mantle of the best player in the NBA. I won’t concede that until he and the Brooklyn Nets defeat LeBron James in the NBA finals. That being written, Durant’s one of the most efficient scorers in NBA history of All-Time and is starting to make the case to be a top-10 player of All-Time despite having to play out of position on the Nets.
Tobias Harris is still a top-10 talent at the power forward position entering this season for the Philadelphia 76ers. Agree with these rankings? Comment below if you think a player is too high or too low.
