Re-drafting the 2019 NBA Draft — 27. Terence Davis, LA Clippers

The Clippers are looking for players who can contribute to a championship contender. Backcourt depth was a problem last season, and Kawhi Leonard’s injury only increases the need for more able bodies. Terence Davis can log minutes. He’s already 24 and doesn’t have a high ceiling, but he’s a great shooter. That’s all you need, frankly.

Davis is a career 37.7 percent 3-point shooter. In 27 games with the Kings following a mid-season trade, Davis saw his production improve drastically, averaging 11.1 points in 21.5 minutes per game. He’s not only a deadly spot-up threat, but a decent slasher who can make defenses pay for errant closeouts.

Another guard who can play 20 minutes a night and hit 3s would benefit the Clippers. Luke Kennard struggled in his first season with the team, while Rajon Rondo’s departure opens up minutes in the second unit (assuming Eric Bledsoe and Reggie Jackson start together).
