15. New York Knicks

In terms of defensive fit, Simmons would be the dream fit for the New York Knicks and head coach Tom Thibodeau. Thibodeau has never had a more versatile defender than Simmons and he’s worked with players like Butler, Joakim Noah, and Kevin Garnett (as an assistant coach). However, with the lack of shooting on the team, the offense would be horrible.

14. Oklahoma City Thunder

The Oklahoma City Thunder are another rebuilding team and if Simmons landed there, he’d be the first or second best player on the roster. However, the Thunder have so many playmakers already on the roster that he would be lost in the shuffle. They also need more spacing around him too.

13. Boston Celtics

With two high usage wins in Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, the Boston Celtics won’t be a good fit with Simmons. He’d have to move without the ball on offense in the half-court, which he has shown he’s unwilling to do so. The fit there is on defense, but Simmons won’t be able to maximize his abilities on offense.

12. Los Angeles Clippers

The defensive trio of Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, and Simmons would be one of the best in NBA history, and he would help them with his playmaking skills. Serge Ibaka helps with the floor spacing issue. The only question is what would Simmons do in the half court when he doesn’t have the ball?

11. Indiana Pacers

This fit could get a lot better if the Indiana Pacers find another team to take on Domantas Sabonis. He’s similar to Simmons with their lack of shooting range and dynamic playmaking. If Sabonis is moved, then this could be a top-five fit for Simmons in actuality.
