Philadelphia 76ers: Ranking landing spots for Ben Simmons
5. Chicago Bulls
The Chicago Bulls have added a lot of offensive firepower this offseason. However, they need a player to anchor their defense and Simmons could be that guy. Their offensive players can play off the ball as well so his fit would be great. He’d make them a top-five team in the Eastern Conference.
4. Brooklyn Nets

The Brooklyn Nets also need a defensive anchor. Blake Griffin, Paul Millsap, LaMarcus Aldridge, Nicolas Claxton, and Day’Ron Sharpe aren’t the answer to anchor the defense this season. Simmons could be, but making a trade work would mean giving up on one of their big three which is improbable.
3. Sacramento Kings
Simmons and the Sacramento Kings have been connected to each other in the past. There isn’t a fit issue there. Some might point to Richaun Holmes as a possible fit issue, but he showed potential as a floor spacer when he was a young player. Simmons would make the Kings a playoff contender and they desperately need that.
2. Golden State Warriors
The only reason why the Golden State Warriors aren’t first on this list is because of the potential fit between Simmons and Draymond Green isn’t clean. That being written, pairing Simmons with the combination of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson is a deadly trio. He’d make them a title favorite in the Western Conference.
1. Minnesota Timberwolves
The core of D’Angelo Russell, Anthony Edwards, Simmons, and Karl-Anthony Towns could take the Minnesota Timberwolves from a lottery team to a potentially top-six team in the West. His fit is natural as a playmaker and defender and he wouldn’t be asked to score a lot. The only thing holding this up from happening is what Minnesota would send back to the Philadelphia 76ers in a trade.
