Re-Signing Danny Green

Philadelphia 76ers fans had a big burden lifted off their shoulders when Danny Green returned to the franchise for two years and $20 million. He’s still a good 3-and-D player despite being in his mid-30s. Being able to sign him for a contract that is basically worth the same as the full mid-level exception is value signing as well. As long as he doesn’t lose another step on defense, this is a great move by the team.

Grade: A-

Signing Aaron Henry

Aaron Henry is a solid undrafted free agent signing by the team, especially due to the fact they were able to get him on a two-way deal. In college, Henry showed potential as a 3-and-D player. If he develops properly on Philly’s G-League affiliate, the Delaware Blue Coats, then he could be in line for a standard NBA contract next year.

Grade: B+

Re-signing Furkan Korkmaz

Furkan Korkmaz wasn’t the best sharpshooter available in the free agent market, but he’s one of the longest-tenured players on the roster and has chemistry with Embiid. The Sixers were able to get him for $15 million three years and he figures to be a floor spacer on the second unit moving forward.

Grade: B

Waiving Anthony Tolliver

This was a no-brainer move that the franchise needed to make as soon as possible, the fact it was dragged out as long as it was didn’t make any sense. Anthony Tolliver proved he couldn’t crack the rotation for the 76ers last season. It was the right move, but it took too long to execute.
