Grading Hornets Simmons’ proposed trades: Counteroffer

Now that both of Jackson’s trades have been graded, it’s time to give him a counteroffer that should be fair for both sides.

Getting a haul of Hayward, Bridges, and James Bouknight, along with three future first round picks for Simmons and Shake Milton is more than a fair trade. Hayward and Bridges are players that can help the Sixers win now. The starting five could look like Tyrese Maxey, Hayward, Bridges, Tobias Harris, and Joel Embiid. That’s a pretty well-balanced starting five in terms of scoring and defending.

Bouknight can be a shooting guard of the future as well with a high ceiling as a scorer. He and Tyrese Maxey could be a dynamic backcourt in the years to come. Both can create off the dribble and have the ability to play off each other

Receiving three future first round picks also allows the 76ers to use them in future drafts or a trade. All three of those players would be nice players to included in a future trade for a superstar if one becomes available as well.

The Hornets aren’t the best trade partner for the Philadelphia 76ers regarding a Simmons trade. However, a trade is possible between the two clubs and Jackson did a good job trying to come up with possible deals.
