Grading 3 potential Simmons trades from Kings: Balanced deal

This deal is easily my favorite out of three deals and there’s little I would personally change about it so this will receive a good grade from me.

In terms of getting a young prospect that can play now and still has upside, Tyrese Haliburton fits that bill to a “T”. He can play on and off the ball, is a good defender, and good floor spacer. Malcolm Brogdon would be a good comparison to who’s game he mimics the most in the NBA. It can be argued that he’s the third best player from the 2020 NBA Draft.

I already spoke on Hield and Bagley in the past so there’s no need to rehash those analyses. Getting one first round pick isn’t great and the Philadelphia 76ers would be better off if they could re-route Bagley to another to get something else instead.

Overall, this is a great deal for the Sixers and one the front office should seriously consider if presented with it. Based on the current market for Simmons, this might be one of the better deals they could get for the All-Star.
