Power ranking the Atlantic Division: Boston Celtics
As much as I hate to do it, entering this season, the Boston Celtics are a better team on paper than most in the division. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are one of the best young duos in the NBA. Both were All-Stars last season and they still have room to grow as players.
Boston also changed things up organizationally this offseason as well. Danny Angie is out and former Celtics head coach Brad Stevens takes over Angie’s role in the front office. Stevens then hired former Philadelphia 76ers assistant coach Ime Udoka as their head coach.
Brown and Tatum also have a very good supporting cast as well. Their veterans include Marcus Smart, Al Horford, Josh Richardson, Jabari Parker, Dennis Schroder, Enes Kanter, and Juan Hernangomez. They also have a promising young group of players that include Romeo Langford, Payton Pritchard, Robert Williams, Grant Williams, Aaron Nesmith, and Bruno Fernando.
This team has the potential to be a very good defensive team and with their dynamic duo supplementing the scoring, they could be a dark horse to win the East.
