Power ranking the Atlantic Division: Brooklyn Nets
There’s no surprise here that the Brooklyn Nets are the top spot in this ranking. Kevin Durant is arguably the best player in the world at the moment, James Harden is one of the most complete offensive players, and Kyrie Irving is arguably the most skilled player to ever play the game.
If all three are on the court then they should be the favorite to win the championship. However, even if Irving holds out because of the COVID-19 vaccination rules in New York, the Nets still have enough firepower to win the East.
Harden and Durant are a deadly combination and would bring any team into the playoffs. However, the Nets are a sneakily deep team. They also have an elite shooter Joe Harris in the starting lineup. Outside of those three they still have Blake Griffin, Patty Mills, Cameron Thomas, LaMarcus Aldridge, Paul Millsap, James Johnson, and Nicolas Claxton.
They are a deep team with superstars. The only question is how long will they only have two stars available versus the three total on the roster? The answer to that question will legitly impact their title chances.
The Philadelphia 76ers are in a very deep division this season and without their second best player, it’s not surprising they aren’t a top-two team in the Atlantic Division. However, if a trade occurs, that could change their furtunes.
