Projecting a career-high stat for each player: Matisse Thybulle

Before the return of Simmons, Matisse Thybulle would have been in line for a career-high in minutes, but with Simmons probably going to play minutes, that doesn’t make much sense. With Simmons returning, the only way Thybulle sees more minutes this season is if he gets better as a 3-point shooter and has a career-high in 3-point percentage this season.

Prior career-high: 2020 at 35.7 3-point percent shooting.

Projecting a career-high stat for each player: Andre Drummond

To be clear, for the most part, this is going to be a season of career lows for Andre Drummond. He’s going to be a backup to Joel Embiid and there’s a good chance that with Simmons returning, he won’t even get to do that on a full-time basis. However, when he does play he should be taking high-quality shots and should see a career-high in his field goal percentage.

Prior career-high: 2014 at 62.3 field goal percent shooting.

light. Must Read. Simmons won’t be an All-Star this season

Projecting a career-high stat for each player: Seth Curry

It’s hard to believe the playoffs last year were an aberration for Seth Curry. He was the most aggressive he’s ever been and there were signs of it this preseason. Curry could see a J.J. Redick bump in production this season in terms of points per game.

Prior career-high: 2017 at 12.8 points per game.
