Sixers: Ben Simmons the feeling is mutual, its time to say goodbye
Lastly, we’re tired of your arrogance. The audacity of your comment after the Game 7 loss against Atlanta: “I am who i am. It is what it is.”, per Rich Hoffman of The Athletic.
What did you really think was going to happen after you made that comment? Philly fans were going to nod in agreement and throw their hands up, and say “Well, he’s right.”?
The inability to take responsibility for your actions is what has turned the Sixers fanbase against you. Had you promised to turn it around and show the fans and organization why you were drafted number one in 2016, maybe the fanbase would’ve held their opinions and fought for you. Philly fans are not hard to please.
But no…
You instead have decided to not care how Philadelphia feels. The proverbial nail in the coffin.
So this Sixers fan is done with you. There are so many fans in the Sixers universe who are also done. This ship has sailed. We don’t want to see it dock at Penn’s Landing any longer. 76ers front office, Daryl Morey, do your job and get this guy out of town before this gets uglier. Benjamin David Simmons’ time in Philadelphia is over.
We like Matisse Thybulle better anyway.
