We’re glad to have you back to hear the latest talk about our Philadelphia 76ers. There are plenty of topics to discuss, but we launch the podcast with the most recent game that the Sixers played.

Against the Detroit Pistons, the Sixers showed spurts of dominance, but then went on another bad drought in the fourth quarter like in recent games. Lucas Johnson and Christopher Kline recap the 76ers victory over the Pistons that should have been a blowout. Lacking their top rookie, Cade Cunningham, Detroit made it more of a game than it probably should have been.

The podcast then goes back to the previous game to unpack a good old-fashioned beat down from the New York Knicks. Led by blossoming star, Julius Randle, the Knicks showed the 76ers who is on the come up in the division. This game displayed how much the Sixers can struggle when Joel Embiid is not at full strength.

The Sixers have struggled while Joel Embiid deals with knee soreness. Should the team act more cautiously?

We then shift gears to emphasize the importance of a healthy Embiid, and ask whether or not he should sit several games to heal. Clearly, the 76ers’ All-Star wants to step up as the team leader and help Philly win games, but we debate if this is the wisest choice being so early in the season.

Next, we bring up former Sixer, J.J. Redick, who just got hired to be an ESPN analyst. We discuss his future in broadcasting and reflect on when he played in Philly. The final topic revolves around the enforcement of the newest NBA rule regarding players getting fouled in the act of shooting.
