3 potential Harris trades the Sixers could make: Kings

This potential deal is the only one in this article that will be between two teams and based on the title at the top of this slide you can infer that the Sacramento Kings will be the other team in this deal with the Philadelphia 76ers.

In the potential deal above the Sixers get Buddy Hield and Harrison Barnes. The Kings on the other hand get Harris and rookie shooting guard Jaden Springer, along with a 2023 top-5 protected first round pick. It should be noted that if the pick doesn’t convey, then it turns into two second round picks in 2023 and 2024.

The Kings are in a very weird place as a franchise. They haven’t made the playoffs since 2006 and they fired their head coach Luke Walton just 17 games into this season. They have three point guards on the roster who are either above starter-level talent or have the potential to become that good.

To be honest they have too many guards on the roster who need playing time and trading Hield makes sense for them. Hield would be a legit floor spacer for the Sixers and Barnes would provide a similar level offense that Harris does and is a much better defender than Philly’s current power forward.

This season, Hield is averaging 15.6 points on 36.2 percent shooting from downtown while attempting 9.8 3-pointers per game. Barnes has averaged 17.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.4 assists, while going 45.1 percent from the field and 38.3 percent of his field goals.

The Kings do this to move on from Hield and to get Springer along with the Sixers 2023 first round pick. Springer won’t be fighting for minutes this season while also having major upside as a two-way wing. Harris would also fit Alvin Gentry’s style of offense while he’s the interim head coach this season.
