3 players the Sixers can sign due to rule change: Jared Brownridge

Figuring out a replacement for Milton was a tough decision. There were several players I had considered. Mario Chalmers and Shaquille Harrison were at the top of my list. However, I decided to give Blue Coats veteran Jared Brownridge the nod here.

To be clear, Brownridge is more of an undersized shooting guard than point guard at 6-foot-3, but with the recent signing of Myles Powell, I could be more flexible with this choice. That being said, if you follow the Blue Coats at all, then it’s clear that Brownridge has earned this opportunity.

Brownridge has played his whole G-League career dating back to the 2017-18 season when the club which was still known as the Delaware 87ers at the time. He’s in his fifth season with the franchise and he has been a consistent sharpshooter from downtown having a career average of 14.6 points on 39.3 percent shooting from downtown.

This season his numbers are down a bit, but that can be explained by him having to share a backcourt with the likes of Harrison and Jaden Springer. He’s averaging 10.5 points on 37.6 percent shooting from deep. He’s earned this opportunity with the Philadelphia 76ers based on his loyalty to and hard work with Delaware.
