The Philadelphia 76ers have a 19-16 record and currently stand at the sixth spot in the Eastern Conference. Unless health fails this roster, the Sixers are more than likely a playoff team in a loaded East.

That being written, the 76ers are nowhere close to where they would like to be. They were first in the East last season and were a fourth quarter meltdown away from playing in the Eastern Conference finals last postseason.

The big reason why the club is struggling is to reach that potential is due to Ben Simmons sitting out for what is reported as mental health reasons. While Philly’s waiting for the right trade to present itself so they can move on from Simmons, they are wasting a year of prime play from Joel Embiid.

The Philadelphia 76ers can save this season by trying to trade for one of these three all-stars.

For a big man with an injury history, every season is valuable, so wasting one while waiting for the right deal to make for Simmons isn’t ideal. The Sixers can’t wait too much longer and there are three trades targets that could save this season from being wasted.

The idea for this article was inspired by Mark Nilon Of Hardwood Houdini. It should be noted that, unlike Nilon, I will be included hypothetical trades in each of my potential targets. All trades were tested and approved on Fanspo.com.
