This episode of the Sixer Sense Podcast offers multiple perspectives related to the Sixers’ latest win streak, intriguing statistics, and priorities at the midseason mark. We begin the podcast though with a conversation about the Sixers win over the Spurs.

Starting things off, Lucas Johnson and Christopher Kline welcome Matt Cahill, site contributor, to talk about how the Sixers dominated San Antonio at the Wells Fargo Center. With yet another impressive game by Joel Embiid, the Sixers led early and never let up. We analyze the game and individual performances from both teams.

The Sixers have won six straight games, in large part because of Joel Embiid. We explore the full extent of his dominance, and more.

The podcast then pivots to the recent comments from the NBA Players Association President, Michele Roberts regarding the Ben Simmons situation. She accused both sides involved, the Sixers front office and Simmons’ camp, of “playing chicken” throughout the messy ordeal. We discuss whether she has a point or if she is off base when it comes to the dilemma that has placed a dark cloud over the fanbase going back to last summer.

Next, the trio explores ideas that corelate to a few statistics that most Sixers fans would find interesting. We look at the home and away record of the 76ers and the team’s record when Joel Embiid scores 30 points or more.

Then, a set of comparative evaluations are made about when it comes to what is important to the team moving forward. We prioritize various aspects of the Sixers’ roster and production that may seem difficult to do, but we attempt anyway. For example, we ask what is more important this season: Tyrese Maxey’s improvement as a point guard or Matisse Thybulle’s 3-point shot? Also, what is more important: chemistry between Embiid and Curry or Embiid and Maxey?

The final subjects revolve around the social media poll questions we shared on Twitter recently. We discuss the results of two questions. The first question asked was who would you want in a trade with Sacramento: Haliburton or Fox? The second question was which team has the most attractive trade package for Ben Simmons: Cleveland, Sacramento, Detroit, or Atlanta?
