20. Detroit Pistons
The Detriot Pistons are well into a rebuilding process, but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be interested in Simmons. The pairing of him and Cade Cunningham should make the Pistons front office excited.
On the flip side, the Pistons have several players that should catch the eye of the Philadelphia 76ers front office. With that in mind, the hypothetical trade below should make both franchises happy.
The Sixers get two great forwards in Jerami Grant and Saddiq Bey. Grant is injured but when healthy he’s a legit two-way player. Bey is a promising 3-and-D wing with an upside. Killian Hayes gets a fresh start as the backup point guard for the 76ers and grabbing a future first isn’t bad either. It should be noted the reason it’s in 2028 is because of protections on the Pistons’ other picks.
Detriot gets Simmons who’s a bonafide All-Star and two young prospects to help continue their rebuilding efforts. Reed is a nice bench big to have on a young roster and Springer has upside as a guard which should intrigue the Pistons. The Sixers might not be getting the glamour package from Detriot, but this is a solid return as well.
