18. Orlando Magic
The Orlando Magic are the worst team in the NBA record-wise. However, it should be noted that they’ve been without two key players this season in Jonathan Isaac and Markelle Fultz who have both been out due to injury. Regardless, the Magic should be an interesting team to make a deal with.
They need a bonafide All-Star to pair with their up-and-coming point guard Cole Anthony. Simmons makes sense in that regard. Simmons can be the playmaker and Cole can be the go-to scorer of the duo. Then the question arises, what can the Magic send the Philadelphia 76ers in a potential trade?
The Sixers get a solid haul of young players, role players, and picks in this deal. Isaac fixes most of the perimeter defensive issue that has plagued Philly this season once he is healthy. Jalen Suggs was the fifth pick from this past draft and can compliment Maxey very well as a backcourt mate. Terrence Ross gives the 76ers a legit scoring option off the bench.
The Magic have too many point guards and Suggs gives the Sixers the most potential while not making the Magic give up their best guard in Anthony. Simmons gives the Magic a chance to end their rebuild as soon as next season.
