10. Hoston Rockets
Last season, the Philadelphia 76ers had almost traded Simmons to the Houston Rockets for James Harden. The Rockets choose to get draft picks over Simmons which seemed like a mistake at the time. However, based on the current holdout Simmons is digging into, it might not have been.
That being written, Houston is still without a clear-cut point guard of the future. John Wall is just collecting checks and Kevin Porter Jr. is still developing as well as having immature moments. Simmons could still be their playmaker of the future.
In an ideal situation, Christian Wood would be able to stay on the Rockets with Simmons, but he has to be included for money purposes. Wood’s fit with Embiid wouldn’t be ideal, especially with Harris on the roster, but it could work, or they could trade to another team.
Eric Gordon and D.J. Augustin would help the team’s depth moving forward. Gordon would quickly become one of the better wings on the roster and Augustin helps the point guard depth. Getting three picks would be helpful as well.
