3. Sacramento Kings
The Sacramento Kings have long been tied to Simmons’ trade talks. The question is what are they willing to give up for the All-Star and what are they willing to take back in a trade for him. There’s a chance that the Kings are open to the idea of taking back Tobias Harris in a trade.
This could be big news for the 76ers considering that Harris is one of the worst contracts in the NBA. Not only could they move on from Simmons, but they could get positive value back in a Harris trade.
De’Aaron Fox isn’t the point guard the most Sixers fans would want, but it would pretty much take the package of players listed above to get the money to work. Fox could be traded at a later time if he doesn’t fit with Embiid. Getting two picks on top is a nice bonus. Harrison Barnes and Buddy Hield are two nice role players to compliment Embiid.
Simmons and Harris have nice chemistry and along with Richaun Holmes and Tyrese Haliburton still on the roster, they should make a pretty good starting five. Springer is just in the trade to make the work with the number of players being exchanged.
