2. Golden State Warriors

Like a few other teams on this list, there’s really no reason why the Golden State Warriors should be calling the Philadelphia 76ers about Simmons. They’re one of the NBA title favorites, they just got Klay Thompson back into the lineup, and even fans are trying to vote Andrew Wiggins to be an All-Star starter.

The Sixers wouldn’t be getting a huge haul from the Warriors being both Stephen Curry and Thompson are clearly off the table. That doesn’t mean that the 76ers won’t be able to get anything of value from the Warriors. In fact, the potential trade below could get Philly a solid return.

Wiggins has finally found his nitch as an elite 3-and-D wing with the Warriors so adding him would certainly help the Sixers. Jonathan Kuminga has shown flashes of All-Star potential, so he’s the deal breaker of this trade. Getting three picks isn’t bad either. While the Sixers would probably want more, this is most likely the most that Golden State is willing to give up.

The fit concerns with Draymond Green and Simmons are valid, but Green and head coach Steve Kerr are smart enough to figure out the fit. Joe is another three-point shooter so adding him to a team that loves to take 3-pointers makes sense.
