26. Miami Heat
The Miami Heat are primed to be a contender in the Eastern Conference. They have core of proven gritty veterans. This group is headed by Jimmy Butler, who was a former Philadelphia 76ers wing. He and Simmons didn’t mesh well on the court.
“Heat Culture” might be too tough for a guy who has the mental make that Simmons has shown to have. That being written, the Heat are always trying to add elite talent and Simmons is that. Below is one way to get Simmons to South Beach.
Tyler Herro should be the front runner for the Sixth Man of the Year award so he would add elite scoring talent to this 76ers roster. Kyle Lowry is still a dynamic playmaker and defender while his scoring has taken a step back this season.
Herro has real potential to be something special, so sending Simmons, Jaden Springer, and a second round pick seems to be fair compensation for the Heat’s two guards. It’s unlikely the Heat do this trade, but this is a fair trade from the Sixers’ perspective.
