25. Atlanta Hawks
To be honest, the Atlanta Hawks are yet another team that doesn’t make much sense for Ben Simmons to go to as a landing spot. They have a ball-dominant player in Trae Young and a non-floor spacing big in Clint Capela.
However, the Hawks do have some interest trade assets and young players that could make an interesting offer to the Philadelphia 76ers. Below is one trade that could be an acceptable trade in terms of talent in return.
The Hawks get someone to stabilize their defense in Simmons and a nice young prospect in Paul Reed at the big man spot. Considering the amount of draft and talent the Hawks have, this trade doesn’t take too much from their treasure trove.
The Sixers would get a borderline All-Star power forward in John Collins, a young 3-and-D wing in De’Andre Hunter, and three first round picks, which include the Thunder’s 2022 first round pick, Hornets protected 2022 first round, and the Hawks 2024 first round pick.
The fit with Collins and the Sixers’ current frontcourt isn’t ideal with Tobias Harris and Joel Embiid. However, Collins is a very good power forward, and either he or Harris could be rerouted to a third team at some point.
