3. Ranking five realistic landing spots for Harris: Portland Trail Blazers

The Portland Trail Blazers make sense as a landing spot for Harris, especially if they hold true to their stance of retooling around Damian Lillard. It’s clear the current core isn’t going to work, so changing it up with Harris could help Lillard in that regard.

Harris can be a great pick-and-roll partner for Lillard moving forward. He’d a solid third-scoring option behind Lillard and Norman Powell or Anfernee Simons. Harris makes sense on a reconstructed Blazers team and below is a potential trade that gets him there.

The Philadelphia 76ers get back Covington and CJ McCollum in this deal. I’ve already written about what the 76ers get in Covington, but McCollum is an interesting fit. Will the Sixers survive with a small backcourt of McCollum and Maxey? That’s uncertain but, the offensive output with the two guards would be spectacular.

Not only would the Blazers get Harris, but they also get Korkmaz and Jaden Springer. Springer is a nice defensive prospect that can help the Blazers down the road. Korkmaz is another shooter to surround Lillard with as well. Getting a lottery protected first round pick in 2023 should be the sweetener that the Blazers need for them to agree to this deal.
