Philadelphia 76ers: Ranking five realistic landing spots for Tobias Harris
2. Ranking five realistic landing spots for Harris: Cleveland Cavaliers
The Cleveland Cavaliers are an interesting team as no one could have been predicted them being in the top half of the Eastern Conference standings. Darius Garland has been a revelation and there’s a real argument that Even Mobley should win the Rookie of the Year award.
The Cavaliers are close to being a legit threat in the East. They need more defensive versatility and more scoring. Tobias Harris can provide both for the Cavs, the question is what can Cleveland send back in return?
No draft picks are exchanged in this one because both teams are exchanging bad deals. The Philadelphia 76ers would be getting Kevin Love and the injured Collin Sexton. Love is still putting up great numbers as a backup and would be an ideal starter next to Joel Embiid with his shooting, rebounding, and passing. The 76ers can sign Sexton with his bird rights this offseason on a discount due to his injury. He can be Philly’s sixth man for them moving forward.
Not only do they get Harris, but the Cavs also get Shake Milton, which would hurt the 76ers the rest of this season. Milton can be the ideal backcourt mate for Garland who has some ball-handling skills, but can play off the ball with some size. This is a trade both teams should consider.
