The NBA trade deadline is quickly approaching and the Philadelphia 76ers will surely have their phone lines tied up at the deadline. This is mainly due to the club’s unhappy All-Star playmaker in Ben Simmons.

However, just focusing on Simmons can get a bit repetitive for someone who covers the whole Sixers roster. Luckily for me, I came across an article written by Joe Capraro of Rip City Project. Capraro wrote on the likelihood of each Portland Trail Balzers player getting traded at the deadline.

Adapting this concept to the 76ers roster is easy enough. The rules for this article are simple, players will be rated from least likely to most likely. If more than one player has roughly about the same percentage of getting traded then they will be grouped together. It should be noted that two-way players Charlie Brown Jr. and Myles Powell won’t be included in this article.

Joel Embiid- 0 percent

This one shouldn’t need much explanation. Joel Embiid is the face of the franchise of Philly, he’s at the beginning of his prime, and most importantly he’s a top-three MVP candidate right now. He’s been the reward for Sixers fans due to their suffering through “The Process” so the franchise isn’t going to let him go at all.

Tobias Harris, Tyrese Maxey- 5 percent

It’s very unlikely that the 76ers would trade either Tobias Harris or Tyrese Maxey, but the reasoning why is different. Harris’ overpaid contract makes it near impossible to trade him. On the other hand with Maxey, he appears to be the point guard of the future, and moving him shouldn’t be done unless there’s an elite point guard coming back in return.

Seth Curry, Matisse Thybulle-15 percent

Seth Curry and Matisse Thybulle are integral parts of the Sixers’ success. That being written, they aren’t untouchable. If the right deal presents itself then these players can be had. While the 76ers shouldn’t be shopping them, they can be had at the right price.

Furkan Korkmaz, Andre Drummond, Georges Niang- 20 percent

Both Furkan Korkmaz and Georges Niang provide Philly with much-needed floor spacing coming off the bench. Andre Drummond also is a pretty good rebounder in the second unit. However, the Sixers shouldn’t fight too hard to keep any of them if a solid deal comes along.

Shake Milton, Charles Bassey-25 percent

Despite the potential of Charles Bassey, having him available in a trade shouldn’t be off the table. That being written, the Philadelphia 76ers should give some resistance to trading him. Shake Milton is a nice combo guard and can help Philly if used properly. However, if there’s a quality backup point guard on the market he should be made available in trades.

Danny Green-30 percent

Danny Green is a good veteran leader in the locker room and he can still contribute on both sides of the ball. That being written, he’s had issues with health this season and his contract can be used to make a medium-to-big-sized trade so he should be available as well. However, the front office can’t undermind how much he impacts the locker room.

Ben Simmons- 45 percent

Most Sixers fans would have loved to have seen Ben Simmons having more than a 45 percent chance of being traded. However, based on the Sixers’ president of basketball operations Daryl Morey’s interview it doesn’t seem likely a trade happens this season.

Jaden Springer, Paul Reed, Isaiah Joe-50 percent

It’s true that Jaden Springer, Paul Reed, and Isaiah Joe have upside, however, if the 76ers want to make improvements to the roster along the margins, then these three are most likely put on the trading block due to the fact they are outside of the rotation as of now.

Agree with these trade probability predictions for each of the Philadelphia 76ers? Comment below which player you’d like to be traded most not named Simmons.
