Important upcoming Sixers games: February 6th @ Chicago Bulls

Michael Jordan’s winning legacy has left an imprint on the way basketball is viewed in the city of Chicago. For years, fans who called the Bulls their favorite team in the Association have cried out for a change in the team’s culture. In his first year as a Bull, DeMar DeRozan has shown his commitment to bringing an NBA championship to one of America’s most historic cities. His efforts have arguably changed the narrative of the Chicago Bull’s play style and are a threat to any team in his path.

Maintaining the first spot in the Central Division is not an easy task. Fending off the Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks is a task of its own. The pressures of playing flawlessly can be too much of a responsibility for one player to carry. Zach Lavine and Nikola Vucevic have made the task of winning easier on head coach Billy Donovan. Both players have averaged more than fifteen points per night this season. Lavine’s efficient scoring and consistent 3-point shooting have attributed to the increase of production displayed by the Bulls on the hardwood. His forty percent shooting from behind the arc is higher than his 39 percent career average.

On Feb. 6, the Philadelphia 76ers will travel to Chicago to take on the Bulls in their home arena. The last time the Sixers ventured into the American Airlines arena, they were successful, defeating the Bulls 114-105. Not much has changed since Nov. 6, 2021. At the time, Philadelphia was riding a five-game win streak, like the streak they are currently on. To experience a similar result as before, the Sixers must be ready to stop Chicago’s arsenal of scorers.
