4 former Sixers that need to return: Justin Anderson

This former player was once a fan favorite and is close friends with MVP frontrunner Joel Embiid, per Ky Carlin of Sixers Wire. He was one of the main players included in the trade that sent Nerlens Noel out of Philly and had a season and a half stint with the Philadelphia 76ers.

He also signed a preseason contract with the Sixers in 2020, but he was waived before the start of that season. During his time with the 76ers, he averaged 7.1 points and 3.0 rebounds, while making 31.4 percent from deep.

light. Trending. Who’s the Sixers’ third All-Star: Maxey or Harris?

Justin Anderson is currently playing for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants but has played for Cleveland Cavaliers and Indiana Pacers this season. This year, he’s averaged 3.5 points on 20.0 percent from beyond the arc in the NBA.

Like MCW, Anderson is a lock-down perimeter defender that would be a nice addition to the end of the bench. The problem is his inability to shoot the ball from deep and the main reason why this small forward is currently in the G-League.
