4 former Sixers that need to return: James Ennis

It’s honestly surprising to me that James Ennis doesn’t have an NBA job right now. I’d consider him a 3-and-D player and had a pretty good year with the Orlando Magic last year. He averaged 8.4 points and 4.0 rebounds while converting 43.3 percent from downtown with Orlando.

This season, Ennis has averaged 4.1 points on 37.5 percent shooting from deep for the Brooklyn Nets, Los Angeles Clippers, and Denver Nuggets. Ennis can clearly contribute as a floor spacer and rebounder.

His Sixers tenure wasn’t the most stellar. He was traded from the Houston Rockets to Philly for a 2021 second round pick that turned into Isaiah Todd. He averaged 5.7 points and 3.2 rebounds, while shooting 33.8 percent from deep in parts of the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons.

Ennis certainly would be welcomed back to Philly with open arms as he’s a solid 6-foot-6 so he would give the 76ers some length on the perimeter and he’d be an upgrade over the likes of Furkan Korkmaz. It could be argued that Ennis is the best player available on this list.

The Philadelphia 76ers have their choices when it comes to potentially bringing back a former player to help with title.
